Does anyone have a pic of what the magnet by the spin-on filter looks like. I changed my filter today and couldn't find it. I did not throw the old filter away. I did not see anything stuck on the filter.
I replaced it with a WIX filter, I don't have an Allison shop close, and it did not come with a magnet. Thanks for the help.

Its prob still on the top of the old filter you threw out.

The magnent might have stayed on the fitting the filter threads on to thats where mine stayed when I pulled the filter off.

Schweinmesser, thanks for the link it was very informative. Not only did I see the magnet, I also found a reason to find an Allison dealer..SOON. That filter hole comparison is very interesting. I will try to find the Allison filter tomorrow.

Changed my filter today and the magnet stayed affixed to the threaded adapter. Pulled it off and cleaned it and put it back.
