I posted yesterday about a problem we had, we fixed that but now have a new one. Everything in the checklist checks out perfect as shown in previous post, but after installing brand new GM PMD with a #9 resistor we fired it and got a DTC 35 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Time Short) I checked the TDC offset and it was -.26 I redid a teach or learn and it came back +35 and then the code became a DTC 36 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Time Long)
Now when idling it goes between codes 35-36 I tried TDC again and it came back +35.
Is this because of the resistor ? We have never had a code in this truck since we bought it 2 years ago.
This is on the 94 6.5 TD dually

I had those Codes. I started using 2 stroke oil at a mix of 100 to 1 for 3000K they stopped now I use 200 to 1 and they have not come back. The Pumps get a little Sticky from the ulsd.

I run 2-stroke-oil in every tank (about 1:100).
No code 35/36.
Give it a try, six5turbofan !

That's a possibility due to the truck has been sitting for almost 4 months. We didn't need it for winter, so we waited to fix it. Probably gummed up from sitting.

Looks like it ended up being my Brand New Stanadyne PMD. I borrowed a known good one off of one of my other trucks and cleared the codes and they never came back. Put the new one on fired it and instantly got a 35 and a minute later up popped the 36... Now to take that back...

Sounds like you have been having real trouble with PMD/FSD? When you get a new, test it right away.

We found the same problem on a 1995 buddy's truck. His PMD was fried. While waiting the new one to arrive, we put on the truck a "used but good" Stanadyne PMD. The truck ran fine but was constantly throwing codes 35/36 and have SES light on.
As soon as we received the new Dipaco, we cleared the codes, install the Dipaco unit, and never had them back, SES light shut off.
We run 200 to 1 2 stroke oil in the tank too.
