My 96 25 pu power door locks quit working today; both the buttons inside and the remote button. /something clicks under the dash when I press the button. Is that where the Relay is located?? Hard to make out lexactly where the click is coming from. Any information will be appricated. Thanks Jerry

I have had the same problem for several years. I have had a stealer give up on it and I think I have been able to trace the problem to a black box above the steering column under the dash. It is definely not the relay - that black box is located above and in front of the gas pedal.

The problem with this clicking black box above the steering column is that it is impossible to get at to replace without dismantling the entire dash. How do I know this is the box that is clicking? Well there is just enough space to get your finger on it and when you press the door loack you can fell it click.

I have just gone back to old fashion way of using the key.

need to check for power at door lock solenoids, I had in door solenoids & clicking but too weak to actually pull open the latch rod, I don't recall hering waht was happening at dash module, herer is a thought check dash board circuit grounds, badd grounds seem to effect just about any subsystem on these trucks.

Just about all of the electric solinoid door locks have been replaced
on my 99 Burb.
The remaining original does have a hard time working if it is hot outside.
I believe they were all installed with factory 1/4" diameter pop-rivets.
