Nice plow, they are made in Worcester MA. 45 minutes from me.

I have the Curtis Snow Pro 3000.
I see more and more people running them around here.
I can hook or unhook in less than 30 seconds. Watch their video.

Did they say anything about putting it on an extended cab with the diesel? I know Fisher, Meyer, Boss, etc don't recommend putting a plow on an extended cab or crew cab equipped with diesel.

All our trucks but one are ec sb. Nothing was ever said. They come from the factory with the Snow Plow Prep package. I don't think the package is available in the cc though.

When I bought my 05 I really wanted to put a blade on it, but I couldn't bring my self to do it so I was forced to keep my 94 Ford F-350 with my meyers. This truck is just too nice to beat around the parking lot.

Yup I told them. Their reply was, " Man that thing will push some snow! And I go right to the factory for parts or supplies.
Leadfoot, just so you know, they are located right on Rt 146 just south of Worcester. Easy to get to off the pike.

Blizzard 810's on my stuff. Fastest plow I have ever used, saves me a lot of time on my route. I like them so much that I am now a dealer. New and used in stock give me a call.

My EC-D/A came with snow plow prep package. The Crew Cab is just that much heavier that a big plow puts it over the max weight rating for the front axle. I carry a Western 8' Pro Plus with wings, and even with Timbrens and T-bars cranked, it still drops the front end a couple inches. This thing's a snow plowing animal.

The only thing a plow package adds on the Duramax is skid plates and the switch for the strobe light.

Direct from www.gmc.com (http://www.gmc.com) (not that it means much): "Snow Plow Prep Package, includes 10-amp power for backup and roof emergency light, 145-amp alternator, high-flow front bumper, forward lamp wiring harness, 1.65" (42 mm) access hole with grommet in front of dash panel, instrument panel jumper wiring harness for electric trailer brake controller, (K47) Air cleaner, high capacity and (NZZ) Skid Plate Package (VYU)"

Since I am spec'ing a CC with the Dur/Ali combo I can't get the PPP. What will I need to order seperately (Forward lamp wiring harness....) or will that come with the plow? Seems weird that the harness for electric trailer brake controller is included in the PPP....

You wont get the hole and groumet on a 05, had to make my own hole. Have had a western since 92 and moved it to my 90, 95, 01 and now 05 truck. Just buy new frame mount, except this last time the 01 is the same. Took it off and moved it to new one.

The 42mm hole through the firewall is NOT available for plow harness anymore. You'll have to drill your own hole. Not a biggie, but why the heck they continue to advertise it is beyond me.

The headlight wiring harness was of no use for me whatsoever.....I don't even know what it means.... Todays plows tap right into the headlight harness with jumpers anyway.

So all you Diesel guys are missing is a 145 amp alt. and roof beacon light switch and harness.

Hoot......Finally got to try your new truck out with the Plow, huh? Nice easy one to plow ):h Lets hope for a few more smaller ones.....$$$$
