i just bought a 2.5'' leveling kit for my 05 3500 from off road unlimited they advertise 33's as the biggest for this kit. haven't tried yet still got the old 265's, but it does look much better and still rides like stock..:D

I just installed green keys with 2" GM blocks, it looks like it would clear 33's

I have the 2.5" leveling kit on my 02 gmc sierra and have 285/75R16s. They clear fine with no rubbing at all. The ride is nicer as well because you dont have to have the torsion bars cranked so high

I made a call the over the weekend to get a quote on a leveling kit for my 08' 2500 4x4 and was told I needed shocks and upper arms to do the kit right and it would be right at $1000. This seems like a lot more then the prices for leveling kits in magasines I'm looking at. Whats wrong with just changing the torsion keys? Is it really needed to go the way I was told to if I want a good ride?

Shocks and uca's to do a leveling kit? Depends on which kit I guess all the parts I used were directly from GM I will list all the part numbers when I get home tonight.

all i put on was the readylift keys. hes right though if you want to do it right, beter get the uca's and shocks. with tosions maxed out, your ride suffers. you have less suspension travel because you cranked some of your travel out of the shocks etc. new shocks would be good also because the facty pos ones are too short and might rip off the LCA. not to mention when the truck sits on the ground with torsions maxed, there is a steel bump stop where the UPA and the frame meet. you only have about and inch of clearance between the two. you dont want to hit it. hurts like hell.
just my 0.2

Thanx guys. Now if I go with the leveling kit, can it clear 33's. My problem is in my association you must park in the garage so I can not add a full lift, but I can level it out and go with 33's I believe and still squeeze it under the door.

I just fit in my garage, but if we get any snow, I have to shovel first or once I go outside on the snow I would hit because of the added height

Good thinking there. Not a lot of snow in So Cal here. What size tires are you running?
