: Cognito leveling kit?

So from what I've gathered reading about this kit is that it allows for more suspension downtravel effectively allowing us to crank our tbars without topping out the front suspension. It doesn't lower the differential though which makes me wonder what happens to the CV angles? Are they going to now be the part that wears out because of the tbar crank?

I will be adding the Cognito kit soon. I am installing it for a couple of reasons:

The design looks sound and should not create problems, actually eliminate some.

The UCA is tubular, has larger ball joints and has zerk fittings to lube at axis point at frame

You can add Dual shocks which is what I want but do not want a full on 6" lift kit. I have a K3500 and do not care much for the look of lifted Dually's. They lose complete functionality. I just want to add a couple inches

Also adding the steering enhancement kit.

I am going to do a pic shoot when we are installing. I am taking truck to Justin in Bakersfield to install. I am waiting for Frontend replacement and winch install before we do it. This way we can level with the additional weight. Should be in the next couple weeks if all goes as planned.

The CV angles should be fine. I have done many IFS 4-8 kits and none drop the pig as much as the control arm brackets. From what I have seen I do not think the CV angles with aggressively cranked t-bars is any more excessive than one of the major lift kits.

I guess I'm not seeing where the 2"-3" lift lift comes in with this kit. I may have missed something. Also i didn't think it was possible to change out the UCA without unloading the torsion bars? I have 33" on my HD for $45 and have no problems in 2 years and it aligned just fine so I'm confused what you get for $475 and how is it different than cranking or adding the green keys if it doesn't lower the front diff? I did like the taller shock bracket and dual shock mount though!

The kit only add alittle over one inch. The other two inches is with green keys. Remember this is a leveling kit to leveling the rank that is in the stock format. This kit is ideal for green keyed trucks. Cognito's phone number is 661-588-8085, as we may not being the answer you need and Justin at Cognito can answer your question better than anyone. If you brace the LCA at the wheel there is not tension on the upper control arm and it will come off easily, you do not need to unload the torsion bars at all. If you are having no issues than you do not need this kit. I however have had TOO many issues to even to start to write about, very depressing. If you want the dual shock loops you have to get Cognito's UCA. The dual socks mount to the his UCA.
