This is the most basic Ipod set up I have ever seen. Does anybody else know of a better setup with the GMC Nav unit? I mean it doesn't even charge the battery!!!!!!!

I personally feel that GM has a ways to go in regards to their NAV unit, integration with things like the IPOD, Onstar, Bluetooth Phones, etc. I also notice that when the GPS signal is lost I have to stop, turn off the vehicle, then restart to get the signal back.

The Ford Sync system (powered by Microsoft) is lightyears more advanced than the current GM offerings. See http://www.syncmyride.com/.

Yes it does suck, mine has engine whine as well like a powered amp. I am buying the clarion dvd and nav with the ipod interface this week though.
