I remember reading about a new hitch on the market that has a rubber or urethane insert that stops it from banging and rattling. I can't find any info about it in any catalogs. Does anybody recall seeing something like this?

This? Cabelas sells them, and right now they even have a 5.95 flat rate shipping fee too, if you have the promotional code.

Class IV rated for 10,000 lb. maximum gross towing weight and 2,000 lb. tongue weight. 1" diameter ball hole. Made in USA.

don't see how it's going to move w/ 2000# of tongue weight on it. even w/ less weight than that. I've got (google Schuck Hitches) schuck model 740 but the slide part is under the receiver, works good w/ 24,000# wagons.
so places sell some kind of clamp to keep the hitch from rattling, but it's a truck and I've got more stuff than that rattling around. :D

You could simply drill a hole for a 3/8 size bolt on top of the sleeve and then tap it for the bolt size. I did this to my class V hitch. when the receiver is in place I tighten down on the bolt and no more rattle with a load or no load.

Here is a picture of the bolt.
