When accelerating my lly w/50k on her started making a low howl sound from from what seems like the passenger front. Do you guys think this would be a wheel bearing going or possible carrier bearing? It started this past weekend on the way home from snowmobiling. Oh and when taking off it seems clunky/chuggy? Any ideas? thanks G

Can you give more description as to what it sounds like?

Have you checked the U-Joints?
My 03 had a bad squeak that sounded like it was coming from the passenger side somewhere. It got a little clunky and I pulled the drive shaft to lube the splines per the DIT section here. When I did two of the cups fell off in my hand. They were dry as a bone and the needle bearings were crushed.

If I remember correctly that is a common sign of a wheel bearing.
Do a quick search there are some common ways to check if that is the culprit.
Took her to the dealer.. They replaced the front passenger wheel bearing, right and left inner tie rods end, I shaft and the rear axle seal. Drove her home still howling. Took her back in, this time a tech rode with me, man they tried everything to say it was the tires, but it wasn't, it was the u joints on center drive shaft were smoked. Seems like alot of stuff to replace on a truck w/50000 mile on it???..G
