My truck is not equiped with the auxilary lights. Can I get an OEM kit from the dealer? I have seen somewhere that there is a kit that comes with a new airdam and lights.

I was was under the truck yesterday greasing it and saw a plug on each side where the lights would be if I had them but I don't have the switch on the dash.

Mark- do a search as I posted on this several times- there is a kit and you can do this several ways, I did it without the airdam-just cut out the holes and did plug and play.
both kits come with the switch.

I just ordered the kit from the dealer, PT# 12499673 price is about $225.00 but they gave me a 15% discount. this a new number, they told me that GM is using a new supplyer with better lights to fix the classic light problem.

and it comes with new air dam, switch, relay, every thing you need to install

bad thing about the new kit with the air dam is shipping.. Thats a big box to send along and it cost me 75.00 to ship the last one. What I may save you on the part would be ate up in shipping. Might check your local dealer first and see if they can give you a 10% off or something.. Its not worth getting it from me and paying rediculous shipping.

( I cant believe I just said that and cost me some sales)

why not reuse the old air damn and cut the holes out? i don't see a need for another air damn, that would save on shipping.

they don't sell it that way anymore:mad: I just went and picked up mine and I can see why it is so much to ship WOW I'm glad I have a 8 foot bed. box is about 16" x 24" x 7 1/2 foot long.

Installed mine today, the kit did not come with the valence. Fairly simple install. The only complication one might run into is programming truck body controller after install is complete. The instructions in my kit stated to remove valence and cut holes for fog lights, my holes were already there.

I went to a place that sells Ranch-hand type bumpers. They had a lot of fog lights and airdams. all I had to buy was the switch from the dealer.
