I bought a nice duramax tag about 30 bucks then to my surprise it will be odd to mount it I may have to return it!

so I went BACK to the chevy dealer asked if they have a frame thats made for my truck they acted like they didn't for my 05, they had one they said might work I took it out to the truck but the holes didn't line up and you have to drill holes in your bumper and put pop rivets even if the 2 holes already in it did work...NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

the way our trucks are u can't hardly mount a dang tag unless you bend it really bad and then it bucks out at the bottom.


I know surely someone has came across this problem too, any advice? I'd really like the mount that tag I like it.

My 03 gmc had one on it when I bought it. Never looked at how it was mounted. I will tonight.

I put Foam weather stripping behind mine to keep it from bending. I have a front pic in my garage.

I got a tag mount at O'Reilly's that fits.

I used the front tag holder off the truck i traded in. 1999 Dodge, just trimmed alittle and screwed in on. Worked great.
