Friday when I fired up my 6.5 to go to work it briefly flashed the CES light. Then about 6 miles down the road it did it again. It has run perfect since, probably have about 50 miles on since then.
Checked the codes just now and it was 35 and 98. Last time it showed 35, it cost me (GM) a pump, that was 4 years and 70000 miles ago. Is it possible that it is gone again?
Also, the PMD has the same 70000 miles on it as well, could it be causing the 35 code? We have had an extended cold snap (3 weeks of -30) up here and it suddenly (Friday) warmed up to above freezing, could the sudden temp change cause the code set?
The truck has started and ran perfectly through all this.

Thanks in advance

DTC 35 - Injection Pulse Width Error (Response Time Too Short)
DTC 98 - #8 Cylinder Balance Fault

Air can cause both faults, injector could be sticking, did you notice any white smoke or rough idle? If the codes cleared and did not return, then I would be looking at your supply pump first, check fuel filter while your at it.
PMD can cause DTC 35, but it would be very persistent.

I know I have a fuel supply issue, it is either the lift pump or the oil pressure sender, I havn't ironed out exactly which yet. It definately could be air in the system. The fuel filter is new.
Idle was noticibly rough that morning, I blamed the cold weather start, until I noticed that it had warmed up.
I will order a lift pump tomorrow.

Thanks
