: Anyone with edge and 6 speed?
J-HEFF 01-25-2005, 07:46 PM I was just curious if anyone has an edge with a six speed manual tranny. Also, if you were to buy the edge with out the attitude (due to extra cost and me being in college ):h ), how do you set which level of power you want? I know the autos is done through the gear shift and using the tow/hual button. Thanks for the insight guys.

Str8 Eight 01-25-2005, 08:20 PM I had read that the attitude is almost neccesary when you use the juice with the six speed. I had also read that some of the attitude functions did not work as well with the six speed but I don't know how true that is.
gearhead 01-26-2005, 08:17 AM 0 to 60's and 1/4 mile dont work with the ZF-6 and you would have to find someone with the auto to make any changes to the EDGE
bigsky1 01-26-2005, 08:40 AM Save your money and get the attitude. Besides being able to switch power levels you get a full set of gauges too all in one. Can't beat the deal. Here I can skate through the park on the ice at level 0 and when I get out to the highway bump it up to level 3 until I hit that line of traffic that thinks 60 is niffty then its LEVEL 5. So handy..so nice.

Dmax Tim 01-26-2005, 09:02 AM j heff, if u had someone close by w/ an attitude they could set your juice then unplug.
your location would be helpful.
J-HEFF 01-26-2005, 08:18 PM thanks for all the imput guys. your probably right, might as well save for the attitude. I have feeling the edge would be fun in a six speed. I have a feeling that 2-3 shift would be a good tire smoker. Thanks again.

Deadeye 01-26-2005, 08:31 PM Until you get your CPMac clutch kit, don't go above level 3 or you will toast you clutch and DMF. I have done it twice. Attitude absolutly.
J-HEFF 01-26-2005, 09:26 PM Really, it'll smoke the clutch that easy huh? I guess it's no surprise, thats a lot of power going to the rear wheels. How much does a clutch kit cost?

About 10 attitudes
depends on single or dual disc.
jbetz 01-27-2005, 06:15 AM Here is an email I recieved from edge:
The Juice and Attitude will work on your truck. You won't have the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times or the tire size and road speed because we use the tranny to get that but everything else will work just fine. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thanks,
Justin Kelley

1600 to 2300 appx.
Rattlewagon 01-27-2005, 04:20 PM I can't go above level 2. And even at that if I lay into it it will slip and give me a hard pedal.

O2BFAST 01-28-2005, 10:33 AM I added the juice a couple of months ago (christmas present to myself)...I run it on level 3 most of the time, however for alot of town traffic I have turned it down to 1 or 2. The stopping and going is a little less jerky on the lower setting with the 6-speed (my opinion). As for the higher number, I havent been over 3, given the fact as is on 3 I get the occasional clutch slip/knock...that $2300.00 clutch bill is a little scary. The only other thing I can say about it is the fact that it does not operate until 180 degrees...mine runs down the road at between 180 and 190 so of a morning my 30 minute trip into work - stop and go - the thing never even gets up to temp until I get to were I am going...other than that....I have the juice, I have the 6-speed...I wouldnt go back to not having it...:)
Deadeye 01-28-2005, 11:05 AM I wonder if pluggin in your block heater on a timer that got it started a couple hours before you left home would help get the heat up?? As for the replacemnt kit, Craig does a single disc kit that is /was about 1600. Based on all the posts I have read, there appears to be a lot of 'gearheads' in you state that could probly help with the install.

Deadeye 01-28-2005, 11:07 AM O2BFAST;
I been running mine, with the CPMac kit, at level 5 since Nov. Yesterday I cut it down to lvl3. I agree with you. that seems to make the shifting a little easier. Especially a start from a dead stop.
Rattlewagon 01-29-2005, 03:44 PM This post just jinxed me, driving down the road yesterday looked down and the upper left corner of my attitude has little black squares on it!!!
I think i'm going to get it fixed then sell it and buy a Predator.
JK was right
