Changing the oil today when the oil cap popped off and fell down behind the fan. Can't find the thing for the life of me! I'm sure it will fall out sooner or later but it must be wedged somewhere. Anybody know where to buy a replacement?

Drop your skid plate and you'll probably find it. Unless you already did that.

Still can't find it, it won't hurt anything being in there will it? I will probably be able to look for it next time I'm able to put it on a lift in about 2-3 weeks.

That plastic cap ain't gonna hurt a thing. Just get a new one then. If it was me, I'd be too damn stubborn to give up:D

Go to any parts store and you can buy a replacement one. I like the Stant brand replacement filler cap. I know Advance Auto carries the Stant replacement oil filler caps, but I'm not sure about the other parts stores.
Got one at O'Reilly...Just drove around the block and I think I heard the old one moving when I came up the driveway bump.
Drove around the block again...heard it get thrown around by the fan or something, found a few little pieces of it in the street. Hope everything is okay...

I bought a new one from the dealer for less than 5 bucks.
