I'm hoping for some insight on the mbrp resonator. I'm getting the 4" 304 ss turbo back kit installed monday and if it's overly loud I'll be adding the mbrp resonator. Anyone done this and have any knowledge of sound difference , and maybe egt info?

Resonator or muffler? I love the sound with out the muffler, but when towing, its too much to listen to for hours on end. I put the muff back on. However, since I don't have any big trips in the near future, the muff may come back off this summer.

MBRP sells a diesel resonator ss or aluminized 4in in/out that works on any system and is in addition to the muffler. Thats the one I'll add if the system is too loud without it.

It is essentailly a shortened version of their muffler. It does help quiet things down a bit. EGTs reamain uneffected with or without it as far as I can tell.
