Would our filter include the '02 max? How expensive are they normally? Also, is the filter change easy?

All Napa filters---usually $40 or more---easy is a relative term,I can almost do it blindfolded from repetition, newbies struggle some--best to check out the sticky ''how-to''.

3910 is the Napa Gold # for my truck. If you folks were to buy from Fleet Filter (supporting vendor) you could get this 3910 (Normally $41.99) for $22.40 everyday. Just FYI. I order over $125 at a time and get an additional 15% off. Great place to purchase your filters.

You are absolutely correct Searay as I have bought from and supported Brian for a long time and I will continue to do so,but something could be said for a local jobber as for loyalty also.Plus my inventory is down and the timing is right.

Inventory down, price right.... and a screaming deal sounds like timing is on your side sir. I completely understand supporting the local jobber.

Confirm,as in what? If you don't know,Napa runs this every year in the Spring under ''Farm/Fleet Sales Week''.

My local napa has a sign on the door for the sale. Maybe all the stores don't have to participate?

Called NAPA at 11:20 and they said they hadn't heard anything about it. BTW, regular price for the 3910 filter is $41.20 + tax.

Sounds like it's the "corporate" Napa stores that are doing it. The one closest to me is an independent store and they are not doing the sale. They told me to call the corporate store in Kearney Mesa, and they told me yes, they have the filter sale going.

In Athens/Logan, Ohio they already had the sale a few months ago and said it will be upcoming again in the fall. Guy said most filters go for 50-60% off

Local store had the filter sale end of Feb., will have another in fall. I believe the deal is 60% off plus another 40% off = 76% total off of list price. Brings the cost of that $42 filter down to about $10.....

It is up to each NAPA store if, or when they want to run the sale. The price is also up to the store. The sale is never nation wide. Stoner, I don't think that discount is right. There is a weird formula that NAPA uses to get their sale price. Hey if your store isn't having a sale, we always have them on sale.:)

You're right Bryan....it is a weird formula, but I just checked the invoice from the last spring special, and it was just shy of a 74% discount off of list price! That said, I still have not seen this springs delivery,:mad:.....seems the service at this store is running downhill fast. Too bad.......used to be an excellent store......now it's down to kids behind the counter that run off their mouths but ain't good for much else.......

Now I have been told that there will be an price increase in a few weeks. I beleive it is goiing to be a 3-4% increase. Now would be a hell of a time to stock up.
