Before anyone tells me to do a search for the Bully Dog I did. I came up with 0 except the thread for the trans go telling someone else to do a search.
With that said, has anyone installed this kit? What are your opinions on it? The next major concern I have is the kit voiding the warranty. Does it?
2005 Duramax Everything stock so far. Going to go with the Edge with J/A.

If your worried about voiding your trans warranty, then leave the pan on. If you looking for an upgrade worth pulling the pan off, then skip the bully dong.

Allison sure as heck isnt gonna endorse any product so of course they are gonna say it dont help. There is plenty of proof that a worthy improvement can be had.

My comments on the kit remain the same... drive down the road with a 100 dollar bill in your hand sticking out the window....then let go.

yes it can screw up your warantee. If the general finds out that you put the juice on your truck you think he will be happy if you blow up your motor?

Allison's Q and A part that deals with aftermarket stuff if BS. The rest of it is good. What are they going to say though.....if we put a bit different spring and some different valves in from the start with a bit bigger holes in 2 spots on the spacer plate we could have made our trans alot better......but we didnt, you can however buy a kit for 200 bucks and improve on our product though.

If you want to keep things simple, stick to a lesser power module or tuner and enjoy the hell out of driving your truck! Keep the trans stock, and have fun. Now if you get caught up in the "keeping up the the Jones's race" you had better plan on spending some serious money on the transmission. Noboby has shown me a simple, or inexpensive fix to allow the Allison to REALLY play. It all begins with the coupling from between the engine and transmission which is about $1300. From there, I've seldom seen a guy regret going for the "full monty" on the trans upgrade, but more than a few have tried the lower level stuff only to find the need to redo it all later down the road...

I figure to take it easy while it is under warranty and then re-evaluate after that. Thanks for the info.
