Anybody had any experience with using an exhaust brake? Specifically on a Chev. 2500HD w/duramax and allison?

I pull an RV, and occasionlly a car hauler, and car hauler has no brakes. It's fairly hilly here in the Piedmont area of GA, and very hilly a bit North of here up in the Appalachians.

My concern is more with the allioson auto than anything else. Does anybody have any experience along these lines? Does it increase temp in trans when using tow/haul feature with an exhaust brake?

I have a Banks on mine. Had it about a year. I haul hay and a 6 horse trailer. The 6 horse goes from New mexico to Ca, CO, etc. Probably weigh 23,000. To get the most from the brake, you need to use T/H. I have never seen it heat the trans oil, and that includes 9 miles of downsgrade in 3 and 4. I wouldn't tow without it.
