It sounds like a jet taking off at full tilt. It makes a high pitched scream.
It's not as loud as I thought it would be, actually quite livable, but sounds goofy.
Anyone else have the screaming noise?

Have you ever heard a Ford 6.0L with a straight pipe?
Common for a VNT.

My lb7 sounded a bit weird too, i'm not sure what the difference would be between mine and an LLY, but I kinda got tired of the howl. Still not as bad as a 6.0 psd though. ):h I finaly went down to the local shop and got free flowing muffler put on. I'm much happier, sounds more like a big glass pack than a muffler, and i'm thrilled with the deep "tone" it has now. Much more civilized at 70mph too, with the straight pipe I'd get a lot of "drone" noise going that speed. The straight pipe was good for making people cover their ears on the sidewalks though, haha.

I have 4" duals and Im having that same whitsle/ jet like sound. Thats not what I want. I wanted something like the sound of my dad LB7 stock pipe no muffler. I have a straight thru muffler but no cat. Do you think the sound would change if i took the muffler off?
