I was installing the 65 HP tune after initial backup. When about 10 secs into it there is a click sound up front the dash lights go out (battery light, speedo ect) then come back on. Then on the screen (Script Error) then a few secs later some other error message cannot complete install or something like that. Tried it again but the same thing happened. I tried to put in the 40 HP but got the same (SRIPT ERROR) message so WTF! So please gentlemen can you help the mentally challenged.

Are you pulling the fuses that the owners manual recommends?

Pull the fuses as recommended and try again. If it persists, you probably have a bad Predator unit.

Also, do you have the key to the "run" position?

Yes I took care of that first thing (fuses). I have e-mailed Predator as far as it being a bad unit that would be my luck, I got it off e-Bay. So let the fun begin. Thx for your help

O K this could be my bad is Ign " ON " is the first click on the switch or the next where the whole dash lights up? The First click I guess is just ACC if that is the case we are going to try this again.

All the way on is where you need it...dash should be lit up..

Dont feel bad. I did the same thing. I called Diablos tech support and was on the phone for a half hour and the guy told me the programmer was bad. I was all set to send it back and I decided to check the diesel place before i did. After reading this thread I tried it again and it worked. Thanks a lot partsguy662.

OK - Now I feel dumb........so what is it. Do you turn the ignition all the way to the point where the glowplug indicator goes on then off?

I had the same exact thing happen to me when i tried to install it. I freeked out i thought that i broke my $40,000 truck. I called Diablo and they told me that i had a bad predator. i sent it back to where i got it and they sent me a new one. All is good and i love it.More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One other possible problem people will see.
If your cigarette lighter fuse is blown, it won't work either.
