So I have started the build on my 07 in my garage. I have a new complete LBZ, Carrillo rods, TTS cam, Forged Mahle pistons .020 over 16.4 to 1, ATI super damper. I will be getting the small turbo (silver bullet), headers, up-pipes, and pedestal this weekend (All coated chrome). I will be getting 50% Injectors, a big turbo, billet main caps, and girdle within the next 2 weeks. I will post pics as more parts come in, and build progresses.

:D

I'm looking forward to hearing how the Mahle forged pistons work out for you. Is this going to be a daily driver or just a weekend toy? Why did you decide to go with the ATI damper? Are you at all worried about the reports of broken cranks associated with it?

Looks like a sweet build. Good luck.

Very nice engine stand. Who makes it and where did you get it? Good luck with the engine build...

The stand is an Axe motorsports stand. They are very nice, I just got it specificly for this motor build. I will be selling it when I am done. It holds the engine up higher than most so you dont have to hunch over to work on it.

I have always ran ATI's in my built engines. I have heard of no broken cranks and ATI, they have only been out for a couple of months. I think you might be thinking of Fluidamper. I believe the issues they had with the fluidampers were the washer no longer fit (has to be machined down) and a couple of people were not aware of this and their bolts came out and the rest is history. The washer also has to be turned down on the ATI's. It will be a daily driver.

What HP are you looking for once it's all done?

When its all done somewhere north of 500.:D
I will just be running the Silver Bullet for a while, to see what I can get out of it. Then twins with the Silver Bullet as the small turbo.

Where do you find one of these things? On the internet anywhere? Thanks!

The washer also has to be turned down on the ATI's.

I did not know that. How much do you have to take off the washer?

The washer also has to be turned down on the ATI's.

ATI supplies a new washer. It is in the bottom of the box. Don't re-use the stock wasker.

The Fluidampr was modified a year ago to accept the OEM crankbolt washer so you do not have to turn it down to use it.

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks, and yes it does run very good for a stock charger truck. I have debated if I should even mess with it since it runs so well. But what the heck right.:D

Thanks, its going alright, just got the rods back from Carrillo they would not fit the pistons correctly. They fixed them now need to get the block bored and rotating assembly balanced.
