Like they say there are no dumb questions only dummy's asking questions

When I want to do a quote, but only part of a post - how do I do it? I tried highlighting the part I wanted to quote but it still copies the whole post.

i'm a dummy - I Can't Here You - SIR, I AM A DUMMY, SIR

Just backspace over everything you do not want in the quote. Or highlight it, then hit backspace.
