: Can a stock LP push through a 2 MIC FF?

Is the stock LP strong enough to push sufficient fuel through a 2 MIC filter? If I put one just downstream of the LP should i still run a stock filter as well? Or just make a cap for the stock housing and no filter.

Thanks,
Nick

Any additional filtration should be done pre-LP. Turbine Doc has a nice set up.

Do a search for "Racor" and you'll find a bunch more good info.

I agree with Dave. I have the Nicktane equivalent pre-lift pump filter and it's a 2 micron CAT filter. It has worked great now for 2 years.

I thought it was easier for an LP to push fuel than to pull it?

It might be but it's better to have the filtration before the LP. It will prolong it's life.

I had my 2 micron NAPA mounted in the engine bay and inline post oem filter assembly. Worked great and I didnt have to worry about the lift pump pulling fuel through a second filter source. Besides, the lift pump doesnt have a filter before it, so why would it need it now? IMHO, being post lift pump is the best for all parts in the system, since return line fuel will be filtered to 2micron, it will eventually help the lift pump anyways.

To help it last longer.
