I got the predator after reading all the negative comments on the edge. The predator works great and I really like it. I'm using the 65 hp tune. Truck runs just a little louder but the power and foot pedal response is ausome. Its nice to be able to read the engine codes and monitor real time data. Its the best $325.00 I've ever spent..............Rick

yes the predator is well worth it. i have zero complaints. i got i think 9k on mine with allot of driveing in the 40 and 65 and only about 1k in the 85. my truck is stock other than tires and predator and i put down 339 hp and 700 tq on winter fuel about 2-3 weeks ago. thats on the 100 hp tune.
the predator affected fuel milage for the better in all cases if driven normal. on the 85 hp it seems to be the same as stock even with my 285"s.

its money well spent.

I have the Predator on my 2002. I love it. I have had no problems with it at all. The power is great and a lot of fun. I am not sure how it affected my fuel mileage as I have not really kept track and it is had to say as I tend to do a lot of idling in the winter.
I want to get an Edge and try that out as well, mybe even stack them as soon as I have the $ to do my transmission. <O:p</O:p
Brutis where did you pick one up for that price? I have not seen them under 399$ but I have also not looked around a lot.<O:p</O:p

I am very happy with mine on the 65hp tune fuel mileage is up and you get a diagnostic tool.

I am also very happy with my Predator and with the power it provides. I’ve towed with the 40HP tune and it makes the truck feel like it should have from the factory in my opinion. I’ve also driven the 65 & 85HP tunes, they are impressive to say the least. My fuel mileage has been up with all three tunes I’ve tried, currently running the 40HP tune and I’ve hand calculated a 2MPG gain on winter fuel I’m sure it will go up a bit more when the warmer weather hits.:ro)

This may or may not influence your decision to try a Predator but, my father is so impressed with it from driving my 05 LLY that he is going to get one for his 04.5LLY. Now this is coming from a man who I can’t convince to get the re-flash done on his truck (you know if it ain’t broke don’t fix it) even thought the vast majority of members here are reporting a positive result from the flash. He is currently getting around 14MPG in town (his only complaint with the truck), I’m hoping he’ll pickup a couple of MPG’s like I did.

I did not pickup any fuel mileage, but for the LLY and the money, it can't be beat.

yes
their people running stacked. i dont know how the edge works but keep the tranny protection working too. them big tires and that power will wreck the stock clutchs.

Picked one up from Kennedy and installed the 85 tune. Runs great and no codes!

I should've gotten the Predator instead of the J/A (JK tried to warn me!) had to get 2 attitudes replaced but it works ok.

My question goes out to the Predator users that have a LB7, do you have the extra power when the truck's cold? I have to wait for my truck to get above ~150deg to get anything out of my juice...

Positive side:

Fine product, easy install, great feature as a code reader, and relativity inexpensive comparatively speaking.

Neg side:

Small learning curve for our transmissions. Not a big deal.

Bottom line:

Quality product, worth the buy. ):h

I'm running the Predator with the 65hp setting and will be bumping that up to 85 tonight. I just installed a set of stainless steel Cool Cuals so I'll feel more confortable with that setting. I'm going to run this with the Edge set at 0 and then take the Predator tuning out and see how the Edge works at level 3.

My truck has all it's power from start up, but it may not be the best for your motor at that time. Everyting should warm up before playing hard to be on the safe side.

Just to let you know how much I like MY PREDATOR it laid a second gear scratch the other night. My buddy was with me and said what the @##$$ was that. I looked at him and smiled and said that was a DIESEL. End of story.

Hows It Runing W/edge And What Levels Are Working Out The Best?? Is It The Best Stack W/edge ???? Or Not???I'm running the 65hp setting with the Pred, and level 2 or 3 with J/A. Not sure what that combo ends up total wise but it feels better than J/A 5 with any of the low boost settings. Between the two I'd pick the Pred for two reasons, the 180 deg annoyance, and the lack of low end compared to the Pred. But, running both on lower setting really seem to compliment eachother.

For the ones running J/A-predator stack, how does it run w/ both turned up?
