I changed the oil on my new truck for the first time today. Changed the filter and drained the oil with hot engine. Let it drain till it was barely dripping. Added 10qts +/- a few Ounces. Drove around a bit and checked the oil. Seems to be reading high. Like on wire dipstick. Im not to worried about this but id like to hear your comments.

You're fine. Capacity with filter change is 10 qts.
