Just read on AOL that several companies are in trouble, one of which is Chrysler. The article went on to say that Chrysler said that they have too many models, and that in a cost cutting move may drop the "Dodge" nameplate renaming those vehicles Chrysler..........I can see it now...."Chrysler Cummins pickup."........ It's a shame with whats happening to our economy.........I proudly have a Duramax dually now and love it but used to be a MOPAR man and hate to see all of our American companies biting the dust like they have lately.

How will rebadging save money? Chrysler has more letters, so the better choice would be to go to the Dodge nameplate anyway..;)

Well, then, there's the problem right there. You bought a Chevy as did many other people. You should have bought a Dodge if you wanted to keep the Dodge name plate alive. Chrysler is in the business to make money, and they're not making any.

I was going to say the same thing. They are selling a good number of pickups so that isn't one of their problem models. The problems are all those little crap cars they make that no one wants. Slapping a viper-like crossbar grille to the front of every car you make doesn't make them any more desirable. Quality products sells cars not the specific nameplate.

I agree 100%. I think that is their biggest problem. Almost every one of their models has that same crappy looking crossbar grill, no real brand identity. Kinda like same sh!t, different pile!!
