I realize there has been many threads on the infamous duramax "tick" which I for one have even posted before but since my injector replacement, it had completely changed. I used to hear it from time to time especially after oil change. It was only a single tick every few seconds at a steady rate. Now, since I recently had my injectors replaced (filled crank case full of fuel leaked on floor) it ticks like crazyyyyy. Sometimes the ticks are so fast you can't even count them and it doesn't quit. Any ideas guys?

Some have had good results of eliminating the "type writer tick" by using synthetic oil in their trucks, but then there are some that have not. Kind of mixed results. You might need to change the oil again to make sure all the fuel was flushed out of the system.

After the injector failure, the dealer put in their oil. I flushed it after 100 miles and put in my synthetic and 2 quarts of stp oil treatment.
