Hi guys,

What would be regarded as excessive blow-by?

Should I check once it is up to operating temperature or when it is cold?

Could the blow-by be an indication that the CDR is not working properly? It has been a long while since it was changed(100,000+ miles).

Or am I in for bigger issues/problems? And what would those be?

Thanks folks ahead of time.

It depends. If it's excessive, you have problems. If it's like steam rising from the dipstick, probably nothing to worry about.

Some is definitely normal with these engines, what makes you think its excessive? High oil consumption (> 1qt / tank)
