Here is a good one for all to anwser:

When I am at a standstill and shift from reverse to park I sometimes get a loud clunk if you will. This only happens when the truck does not move, for example: if I am at a standstill shift into reverse and without moving shift it back into park I will get a clunk (not all the time). Is this normal? It does not do this in any other gear and all fluids are ok. HELP PLEASE!!!

Thanks in advance

That's your Parking Pawl. It's larger than an average pawl due to the fact that your truck kicks so much ass.

The only time this happens to me is when i park with the tire against the curb then shift into park. When I come back to the truck, crank and then shift the shifter does not want to move and when it does it "clunks." The transmission binds and isnt happy about it.

So I never park against a curb. Problem solved.

How bad is this "clunk"....you will normally hear this clunk from the tcase ingageing, this is normal! Do a search and you will read for hours on these same issues...no worries though

That makes me feel better I was hoping it wasn't something major.

Thank you

normal condtion, i also advise you use your park brake to avoid torque locking your parking pawl as well.
