Dealer says my serpentine belt needs replaceing after 25k. Anybody have this problem? I have had belts go much longer than this WTF?:mad:

Mine still looks OK after 84,000 miles. Doesn't sound right at all, too soon.

5'000km & then at 8'900 for me too:mad:

I think all of the problems are with the alternator, this seem to be where the noise coming from the belt!:rolleyes:

Have the dealer check your power steering pulley alignment.

Have never had a belt go bad ...but I routinely change them at 50,000 miles as a preventative maintenance thing....

just had mine to the dealer yesturday for a belt and pully noise, they realined the power sterring pully and put a new belt on. all under the factory warranty.

Had the belt replaced. Entire belt was glazed over. Good to go now. Has anyone ever ran into belts glazing over? Is there a way to prevent this?
