Is the rear end in a 2500hd with the dura/ally... positrack or equalock??? or something else.. Also isnt the stock rear dif 3:73??

it is what ever you ordered it as it could be the 3:73 or i think the 4:10 and i think it is a locker rear end not the positrack although i am not sure of the difference i know you can here the locker click when it locks in

If you ordered the Heavy Duty Power Package, or specifically ordered the G80 option, you get an Eaton G80 Locker. It locks from a stop when one tire starts to spin and unlocks at about 5mph IIRC.

I was under the impression all HDs came with the G80 locking diff standard.
