I have a 1996 K3500 6.5 tubo-diesel 4*4. I tried to locate the transfer case fill plug but I can't find it. I used two references with photos. Supposedly it is on the left rear side, but there is no sign of one. Should this transfer case have a fill plug? I have never seen a case with no fill or drain plugs before so I would think there would be one. It may just look like a regular bolt. Most I have seen are either a internal hex, square plug or a large thin head hex bolt. Who knows mabe some one made a case sealed for life but I doubt it. Just my .02

No drain OR fill plugs found. They are definetly not where the book says they should be. It was cold out when I was looking at it (-5 F). Its gotten warmer so I will go out and crawl around and try to feel all around it.
