If peolpe were wondering how to set it with out steering wheel controls.
All with cold engine. First turn on ign. second push down Accelerator .(and hold) Third push brake pedal three times. (before six seconds) Forth let up Accelerator . Fith start the engine after it starts it should display high idle on. I have not seen this on this post before.:)

Don't be such a tight wad and get the steering wheel controls, it's much easier ):h

Is this for cold weather warm up?

How cold dose it need to be before it kicks in? What RPM dose it increse to?

just not an rpm increase, there are many other features that takes place in order for it to warm up quicker. perform a search on elevated idle, in the LLY forum. Also, you can search your manual on setting the elevated idle.
