I'm looking to get some HID's soon and am wondering what the best color or intensity I should get is. I'm leaning towards the 4300K because they look be the brightest. I also like white hue they give off. Just looking for some people's opinions. Thanks

4300 is nice, I had 5600 in my GTO and really liked them as well. I'd try to get as close to 4300 as its "natural light"

yeah thats what I had read in other threads. I didn't realize the higher the K's the lower the the brightness, kinda reversed.

K is a temp measurement, Kelvins. Basically the first thing you wanna decide is the color, if you want a blue tint, might want to go 6000K and up but if you really want white go 4300/5000k you wont regret it. Also you are correct as loosing brightness as you increase on the K scale, becasue of the colors produced.

Yeah I'm not sure, I used to want a nice blue, not super blue, but like a 6000 or so, but I'm starting to lean towards the 4300 because the white just shoots right out there. And I do a lot of back road driving where it would be beneficial

True, or just do your fogs, highs, lows so you cant miss a thing...:D

Honestly though, your only gonna notice a slight difference between those besides the actual color.....

i have 8k low and 10k high on my hayabusa and love it... i would prolly go with the same set up in my truck but 8k on both.. the 10k sort of changes colors too much

I found i never really used my hi-beams after I installed HIDs in my lows. The GTO had a projector setup so they focused really nicely anyway. I figure i'd just do the lows in my truck for fun since I have the ballasts i just need the bulbs.

4300k. Don't make the mistake... The 4300 gives off enough blue but on the white side. I just replaced my fogs with 3000k which are yellow. The 4300k's with the 3k's are like daytime. Hit up Nor-Cal Nick (vendor here) and he'll get you set up with HID's.

I would really recommend not putting HID's in your Explorer. You're gonna get flashed all the time.

Yeah I've read through there a bunch of times. The 4300K seem like a good option
