Well i can't take credit for the layout but i can for the info displayed. I think i have 4 CALC.PID's i created my self. Notice the Instant MPG gauge.:D

That looks great! How and/or where did you obtain that set-up? I'm seriously beginning to consider ditching my quadzilla and going with EFI live V2 for my LMM. But how hard is it to create something like that?

Well the dash layout comes standard with efi live v2 software. But most of the info and gauge setup i did my self.

Looks sweet, now if only we could actually have that as THE gauge cluster in teh vehicle. :D

hay what PID are you using for Instant MPG???????
i dont have a fancy DIC on my truck and have dug around EFIlive to see if i can do a vurtulal one and have not had any luck...

Using all three injection pids, vss, rpm, and some fancy math.

ah 10-4 iv been trying to figure out that fancy math my self so far iv gotten as far as getting mm3 to gallons , still trying to figure out to how apply that number to a seperat formula of speed and rpm. i got a post up on the efilive forum on getting this done but no replys so far.
nicely done tho!

Are you going strictly off mm3 or are you actually calculating the amount of fuel for a given pulse width and a given pressure?

I have thought of that but i'm not sure how i would incorporate that into the equation. but on the other hand doesn't the ecm command fuel in mm3 based on duration and pressure? So far the couple of days that i have been driving with it, it seems pretty accurate.

This is where i got the idea, but i modified it wo work with the LBZ and i added the post injection into the calc as well for better accuracy.

Either way, I think it's cool. I've considered making one myself, but I haven't taken the time to look into it.

Yeah i was grinding on this math for 2 days tryin to get it figured out and just when i thought i had it handled, found that post on efi. BTW that math makes perfect sense and is about 15 times less complicated than the one i was puttin together.

No way.......perfect sence and simple math don't go together.....Just joking math was one of my favorite subject all the way through trig. :)

Yeah math was one of my fav's through calc. but it's been forever and a day since i've had to think like that, and it really made my brain hurt. Really goes to show "use it or loose it" really is true.:p::D

Just a quick question. How do you keep your guages on the left side from overlapping each other. I know if I put guages that close the invisible guage 'box' trys overlapping the other guages.

With the exception of the ECT gauge that has all been taken into consideration. and there is no effect of that problem.

Nice!!! I want a dash like that!!! I am still learning and interested in learning more about how to do this. Are you going to share more details with us on this? I'd love to see more details on how to set this up, especially the mpg. Once you start programming you can forget about using the DIC for mpg.

got it figured out for for my LBZ had to change the of the source pids (diferent from the LB7 and LLY) seems to work grate might have to add in the Post injection 1 and pilot injection 2 into the equation., not sure how much the engine uses those tables , time to do some login
the basic info to make the PID can be found in EFIlives own forum
.im still trying to git a full understanding on building PIDs and so i wont give any instructions i probably git some stuff wrong.

Yeah the pids names are different of the LBZ/LMM and i did the same (adding in the post injection and pilot injection) Makes for a more accurate reading.

Hi bballer182. Could you be more specific on the fancy math part you used to generate the instant mileage for LBZ/LMM models? I like math but EFI is new to me for the most part.

Thanks for the info.

I could never get it working right, would you mind pasting what YOU have so i can see what I'm doing wrong? I just need a little help. :)

"{SAE.VSS.mph} / ((({GM.MAINRATE.mm3}+{GM.PILOTRATE.mm3})*0.0000002 641720512)*480*({SAE.RPM}/2))"

this the expression used for the LLY. i puled it from efilive forums a member there created the base for it.
when i git home (and rember) i can give you MY formula the pid names are diferent on the lbz and i have post injection added in along with 2ed pilot.
