Does any one know where the temp. sensor for the mirror mounted thermometer is. It seems ever since I put my winterfront on the truck the thermometer is about 8 to 10 degrees out. Is this normal or should I look for a problem with the thermo. Thanks

I think the sensor is in the intake. Mine is off if I am just sitting and idling. To be correct I have to be moving with the winter cover on. I am kinda disappointed though, I found out where it stops reading.....-40F! It was anywhere from -40 to -50 the week before last. Anyway, you can probably expect it to be off a little bit with the cover on even though I haven't had a problem with any of my trucks that have had the mirror thermometer.

Ditto what DURATYS (http://dieselplace.com/forum/member.php?u=9577) said! Relocate and you'll stay much more consistant/accurate, but it will still warm up if you sit and idle. It does get accurate while driving with the cold front installed though!:ro)

I still don't see how it would be acurate..if you have both covers on (the bumper, and grill).when both covers are on there's no gap between them.

Thanks a lot guys. I will try to relocate if its not too much work. It makes sense that it wouldn't be too accurate with a winterfront judging by the factory local.

I just did mine. Its not very much work at all. I didn't even remove the grille.
