Hi ,

I have been cruising this site for a while now and have learned a lot of stuff about HD's from you folks .

I have a 04 EC LT 4x4 6.0 gas . I have yet to do any mod's but am about to . After seeing some of HD pic's on this site with the H2 wheels . I have decided on them for my truck . I have a line on a new chrome set of 4 that I am planning to pick up Monday from a local dealer . I think the price ($600.00) is fair, but that is just the wheels , No lug nuts /caps.

I need a couple of ?'s answered ....

1st
How many turns will I need to crank up the torsion bars ,I only want to raise the front enough to get clearance for 265/70/17's ...

2nd
WILL MY stock alloy wheel lug nuts work on the H2 wheels .Or do I have to buy new ones

3rd
How much do I have to trim my stock center caps to be able to put them on the H2 wheels....

Thanks for your help ....Kevin

Welcome to the site!

1) Don't have to crank at all. Those tires are same size as 265/75/16 according to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit. 265's don't have any clearance issues.

2) Yes, stockers will work fine.

3) With the alloy wheels, the caps will go on no problem, some guys have trimmed off the little "feet" on them, like this http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20300&highlight=trimming+center+caps.

Hope this helps,

Tom

1st---Can't help there, I have the H2 tires also.
2nd---Use yours.
3rd---Trim the tabs off the back, and they should work.

Don't trim the tabs, the newer trucks the black tabs pull out easily and put back in if u go back to stock.

Dmax im , Thanks for the additional info ....

Redneck 45 .....I am in the Seattle area...The wheels I am getting are all chrome , not just the ext face surface ...

I would love to get some of the 315 's also but I dont want to mess with my towing ability ...I tow a 27' 6000 # travel trailer (wife's home away from home) and haul play toys in the bed of the truck ...Any chance of a good deal on 265/75/17's that you know of ???
