i'm looking to convert the front end of my 02 dmax to a 04 gmc front end, for the simple fact that the grill options are better and the front factory bumpers are better, i think, has anyone tried this, how hard was it to do, and what do you guys think

whole front sheetmetal grill bumper lights etc...

and new bumper brackets oh and different plugs for foglights

no way id change an 01-02 hd for anything they are the best looking of all the chevy or gmc fronts

i remember seeing a post somewhere about it, if i find it ill send a link, had all the gm part numbers and all...

yeah, i thought about doing this too, but like nekkidhillbilly said, i like the '01-'02's over any other.

i think the 01-02 are the best looking also, i just hatge the options we have when it comes to fog lamps for the valence, cause right now i cant find any options for a valence to house piaa 510 series lights or something, causer the factory ones suck

yeah, thats about my only "gripe" with the '01-'02. i kinda liked the piaa valance, but they dont make them anymore, and nobody is selling thiers.

:confuzeld.........am I missing something here?? Sure sounds like a lot of work to change the style of a truck that already looks sharp in my opinion. If ya like the looks of the GMC...why not sell your Chevy and look for a clean GMC in the year that you want??

tahoe z71 valance holds round fogs and they make piaas that fit in the rect openings also

or you could run silverstars in factory ones

The real question is, can you put an 02 clip on an 2006 lbz;) but as far as I know any front clip 01-07 chevy or gmc will work. I've heard the 1/2ton clip will work but have never seen it.
