I seem to be getting a vibration in OD at low rpms. This usually happens on city streets at 1500-1800 rpms. Does any one else notice this? This vibration is probably there at all rpms but at low speeds it makes the truck shudder a bit.

I have a 04.5 lly with about 16,000 miles. I have never limped the tranny and don't beat on the truck.

does your truck have any kind of lift on it???torsion bar cranking, lift blocks?

No lift, stock rims and tires.

I guess I am the only one that is getting this type of vibration. What would cause this? Would it be the convertor? I guess it could be in the drivshaft but it seems to be only noticable at low rpms in 5th. It could be there at other rpms but just as a different frequency that makes it hard to notice.

You ould hook up a scanner and watch the slip( if there is any) and that would tell you if it's the converter or not.

Scanner? Will the Predator scanner work?

When diagnosing a problem I prefer to use a scanner that will give me evrything I need as far as info. Tech 2 or Mastertech.
