Is it normal to be able to run the edge/attitude on 5x5 with no slippage on a stock tranny. I bought my truck used. Do you think the owner before could of upgraded the tranny?

Yes that is normal. The edge will protect the tranny. Chances are your tranny is not upgraded but it is possible that it was.
