I had all 8 injectors replaced @ 2-3 weeks ago. I got the receipt in the mail and on the work order it stated fuel in oil. The service dept at the time of repair stated NO fuel in oil. I went in again and asked them and they said NO fuel in oil. It was just verbage to get my repair done quickly.
My question is: Is this normal verbage for GM service to say? I feel comfortable with these guys and I feel they are honest. I have looked on dipstick and no fuel. Just a question but I respect all input.
Thanks
Ben

You wont see fuel on the dip stick. Try laying the dip stick on a clean paper towel and watch for the oil to "fan" out. If you can see a clear ring surrounding the oil then you will have fuel in oil. Mine did but then again... I had two gallons of fuel in my oil pan. Dealer said it wont hurt anything. Number of miles with a satutarated oil???? who knows!

I think it might of been normal verbage for the dealer to use to GM so they could get you repair done quicker or covered to begin with. Fuel in the oil is common when the injectors go bad on LB7's, but not always and I would think GM would fix it quicker so the oil is not contaminated for long, doing possible harm to the bearings and other parts.
Your dealer knows there was no fuel in the oil, and you know but GM dosen't have to know. :)

General Electric wouldn't let it happen;
General Motors... come on guys.. help me out here... They Would:
1. Swear it doesn't harm anything. Face it, Diesel is slick isn't it?
