On my truck the part of the cluster that shows gear selection and odometer does not light up any more. Before it used to not work but if I hit the cluster or pressed the button to move between odometer and trip meter it would come back on. Now it does not. Is this something simple or do I need a new cluster. I should not that the odometer is still reading.

I think you need a new cluster-- check vendor PPE they have new replacements that are nice for $450 or so. :cool:
