Other than being annoying is there any possible engine damage that could come from an exhaust leak? I'm pretty sure I have a leak in the manifold on the passenger side. Maybe the V clamp. I'm going to try the foil around the down pipe/turbo thing and see if that solves it at some point. I just put donut gaskets in when I did the cross over, and I inspected the manifold and it looked good. I can only hear it under load and it’s not real bad. I just don't have time to fix it now.

at turbo outlet ???, no engine damage but hot exhaust gas mite melt some wiring nearby, at cross over you would have reduced turbo performance with lost drive energy.

If it was post turbo (at the V clamp), would it still tick like a normal exhaust leak?

i know this isn't exhaust related but check your vacuum pump. mine ticked like a really bad exhaust leak. it had a check valve on it but i removed it so i can see why its making so much noise. after the check valve came off there was no more exhaust leak sounding tick. i couldn't figure it out as i kept going under the truck but couldn't find any major leaks that would make that much noise. good luck.

I'll take it off. I don't need it anymore any way.
