I have an 03 lb7. I am going to be running a stright pipe exhaust. I wanted to know if it would have the same sound as the lly? I know the turbos are different, but I was wondering if I still would get that whistle soound? what do you think sound difference will be like?

The LLY has a unique sound to it and I've never heard it duplicated on a LB7.. A combination of the EGR and the turbo....

Some have reported increased turbo sound after installing an aftermarket air intake, but at the sacrifice of possible reduced filtering.

Yes you will get a pretty good whistle out of the exhaust after you go to a straight pipe.
