My dad just bought a Chrysler 300C with the Hemi. Car weighs just shy of 4000lbs and is reported to 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, no 1/4 mile times listed. It seems other trucks set up like mine (see sig) will do the 1/4 in around 14.9. What do you guys think, he says he'll whoop me big time...I'm not so sure.

My guess is you could take him off the line with a 4wd start, but I would say he will prob walk away from ya after about 30mph... it IS a car after all. He's got a 3 second quarter mile advantage just on weight difference alone..

you'll have him thinking twice for a few seconds tho as you rocket off the line.!:)

road and track tested 300c with hemi: 0-60 in 5.6, 1/4mile in 14.1. the 6.1 to 60 looks to be the time for the dodge magnum with the hemi. just some numbers.

Tell him you'll drag him straight up with no mods to either engine, but both vehicles have to hook a 10,000 pound trailer up to the back first!

Maybe if I tell him he'll have to keep his traction controll off, he won't be able to help himself and smoke 'em. The 300C will spin the wheels fairly easily with the TC off and stomp it from a dead start.):h

I would hate to buy new tires for that thing: 18" wheels with Continental Self Sealing Tires:eek:

I would run him in my lly when my juice and power pup stack are behaving.....with a 4x4 launch boosted launch I would have him thinking a little past 30 mph...traction control or not. Hell I would run him with just my predator....but I have been told I am crazy!

the 5.6 run to 60 is without t/c on. if he launches with traction control on the computer will kill all the power. t/c off is the only way to race. with t/c on the run will be somewhere around .5 sec longer

Hemi: Definition (LAtin Hubris= 1/2)
Half-Baked
Half- motored
Half- Fuel Economy
Half- The GVW
Half- The Fun
although it does have 16 more sparkplugs to change than your diesel

Get an EDGE COMP, and PPup XXX and BLOW HIM AWAY!
Or a TTS EXTREME....and NUKE the wannabe

BUT
GET A TRANS
SCOAST
ATS
or the new DTT!

Pick a place to race that has crummy traction.

I picked up a 300C a few months ago. My D-max wouldn't have a chance against it :)

Your right....a stock dmax would stand no chance...or a dmax with programming and a stock tranny would stand no chance. Add a tranny and 120-140 hp with a 4x4 boosted launch and things would get interesting. Now for some of the lb7 guys runnin around out there with the big programs.....the 300c would not stand a chance. The tranny plays a big role in all of this and a good tranny upgrade is always over looked....including by myself in the past.

Tougher still if it was a 300C SRT-8 with 425hp.

bring it on  make my day

As for your setup, you may be outgunned.

At 13.3 in the 1/4 mile, it would be a close race between my two sports cars. I'm glad GM underated the LS1 at 325hp. These cars actually make those numbers at the rear wheels. And yes, my truck would be outgunned. I wonder what would happen if you stacked another 300C on top, to even out the weight, of course. Not to mention closer aerodynamics between the two.

A drag race is often won or lost in the first 60'. It's all about getting moving first.

Unless they use the infamous FuseGrips on you.
