I just bought a set of chrome H2 wheels and tires and was wondering exactly what modifications are neede to intall these with no rubbing issues on my '04 duramax. I have already leveled the truck with some GM leveling keys, they raised the front end 1 3/4". I have stock whels w/ 265/75/16 now. I've heard about having to trim the lower front bumper plastic, tie back the inner fender on the driver side, and possibly space the front bumper out a 1/2". are these all thats needed? any help from you guys that have ran H2's would be greatlyu appreciated!! thanks!

All I did on my GMC was crank the bars about 5 turns.

I cranked the torsion bars, I moved the bumper out 1 1/2", I trimmed the bumper air dam, and the inside drivers wheel well. I also cable tied the emergency brake cable against the frame, so that when I turned left, the tire would clear it.

Some photos of my swap

Power Loss?? What is that?

I really dont notice any, probably wouldnt either with my Juice. I run it in level3 and its plenty powerful. I have not reset my Speedo, so it runs around 7-8 MPH off. I use my gps for checking speed.

The ride, seems to be fine to me, my wife thinks it rides smoother. I have not gotten around to replacing my factory shocks with Bilsteins, probably do that in a few months.

I no longer own the truck but the ride was very good.

dmaxpower1,

You pretty much have it all down. You may still need to adjust the torsions up a bit, and don't forget an alignment afterward.

Heres the thread for moving the bumper on an '03 Chevy.

When I installed my H2's, my predator was "lost in florida". I did feel a power loss. After a couple of intersections my foot adjusted and it has not returned.
