I been lookin on the web for sales figures by year. Found fords for this year and dodges. Cant find any for the dmax other than a vague reference to 150k. Any help?
So far, from what I can tell. Fords sales are down 50% from 2000. Dodges sales are up 50% from 2000. Some of this is from such a competitive market but the 6.0 definitely had a negative affect on sales. Sales are at the lowest in years. Even so. It appears to still be outselling its competitors. Though the gap is smaller than it has ever been.

Since the Duramax debuted in 2001, GM’s share of the full-size diesel truck market has increased steadily to nearly 30% of the segment due, in large part, to GM’s offering the exclusive Allison 5-speed automatic transmission which has not, and does not, require a “de-ration” of horsepower and torque when coupled to an automatic transmission.

It says 25% in 02. Any production figures for 03 or 04. Im curious specifically how the 6.0 launch affected sales. Fords market share was down to 41% last I saw. Meaning dodge and chevy split the other 59%. I have dodges sales figures from 03 and 04. 128 in 03(which was a record year) and somewhere in the 150s in 04. This is an increase of nearly 50% from 01. Id say mostly due to the 6.0s problems shortly after launch.
