i was filling up the other day and i saw p40 at the gas station. does anyone know anything about this type of fuel? is it safe or better/worse for your engine??

You sure it said P40??? Usually, I think it is called B40. Which is a blend of 40% Bio diesel with 60% regular diesel. Better lube than regular diesel, cleans out your fuel system REALLY well. That means it will clog up your fuel filter faster from all the crud in your tanks, lines, and injectors. I have burned Bio diesel with no problems.

yeah i thought it was weird too, they may have hung the b upside down. but it's better for the engine?? it was about the same price as normal #2 maybe 10 cents cheaper.

Looking at your location, you may not fill up with bio at this time, especially b40. You probably can get away with as much as b5. In general Bio is good as long as it is not in deep freeze condition.
