Hey guys. I have a 2003 Chevy 2500 and just installed the Prodigy brake control. When I did, the trailer right turn signal fuse was blown. I replaced it and checked the adapter at the hitch and everything was working fine.

I just went to move our travel trailer last night and had all the lights working except for both sides of the brake lights as well as no turn signals or 4 ways. I just figured that since the trailer was sitting for 2 years, it was going to be the trailer that is the issue. The inspection station called today and said that only the right turn signal was having issues, but the brake and left turn signal was working properly.

I figured that I had a fuse blow again and checked them all. They are all fine. I'm at a loss and need to travel with it across the state on Saturday. What could the problem possibly be????? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

Make sure the fuses you are testing are labelled with a "TRL" after the description. If you're absolutely sure that you checked both for LT TRL and RT TRL, the search on here for "flasher module".

Check the underhood fuses too.

I was doing a bunch of searching before posting, but didn't find anything that really fit my issue. Wouldn't the flasher module cause the truck's signals to act goofy or not work at all as well? I don't mean to sound like a complete moron, but these new trucks have me lost.

The module typically messes more with the taillamps on the trailer as it is responsible for combining the seperate brake and turn signal back together (they are seperate in the truck taillamps), for a single lensed trailer lamp.

Go to Post #9 of this thread http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134273&highlight=flasher
for a diagram of the flasher and fuses. It will explain a lot.

I had a very similar problem with mine. All the truck functions were perfect, however only the right trailer light was out. Turned out to be the flasher module on mine too.
