Is there any way to tell which level is programmed under Current Program?
I looked while it was on level 3 and again after I dropped it to level 2 but they both look the same. I'd just like to confirm that it's actually on level 2 now.

It should tell you all of your settings on the initial screen when you first plug it in and it starts up.

Thanks, I'll check tomorrow before we leave for Indy. Been running level 3 since I got it last month and saw about 1 mpg gain, read on here that level 3 is the hardest on fuel so I thought I'd try level 2 plus I won't worry so much about hurting the Ally on L2

MPG wise it's a compromise for me. I get the best MPG on the freeway with level 3; but it is only 1 MPG better than level 2. However, level 2 in town gets better MPG in town than level 3. That being said I choose level two because i feel over the long run it will be better for my transmission.
Also as far as checking what tune your running. A few times my programmer has frozen up on my while switching tune levels. When i plug it back in, the programmer will tell me the tune that didn't completely load is the one that I am running; when in actuality it is not. If in doubt, load it again.
P.S. don't forget to reset the tranny when switching tune levels.

Under normal driving will level 3 hurt the tranny over time?
Thanks Craig

I wouldn't think so as long as you don't abuse it. I would've left mine on 3 but I'll be pulling my 5er this spring and I don't want to change it so much and have so many flashes on the PCM

I read somewhere here (on DP) that 65 mph seems to be the sweet spot for these trucks, that doesn't seem to be the case for mine.....I run 65 (after I get through town) to work and back and can't get more than 14.5 - 15 average (DIC reading) on 41 mile round trip. Today I went a little farther, 45 mile round trip, on most of the same roads running 50 - 60 and the DIC was showing almost 16.5 so now I'm wondering if there's that big of a difference in 5 - 10 mph. I posted somewhere in another thread about getting 13.4 going to Indianapolis and 13.8 coming back running a steady 75, so the question I have to ask is what can I do to get better mileage from this thing??

when you plug it in, it says when the last time the tuner was updated, and what level your on.
i on the other hand get the best mileage on the 300 setting
